1. The Reference and Its Role
Rialto Residents Directory is a private reference to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections concerning Rialto, California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with any office, court, library, or records custodian. A link or description does not turn the operators into the source of the record.
2. Acceptable and Prohibited Use
Use the pages and linked resources only in a lawful, respectful way. You may not use the reference or information reached through it to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make a decision regulated by the FCRA, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions
- Scrape, copy, or republish the material at scale without permission
- Attack, disrupt, or bypass the site's operation or security
3. No Consumer Reports
The operators are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. The official FCRA text provides the federal statutory context. Neither the pages nor the output of a linked search tool is a consumer report. Nothing obtained through the reference may be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.
4. Outside Links and Services
County portals, state resources, archives, libraries, courts, and sponsored search tools operate under their own rules. The operators do not control or guarantee an outside service's content, uptime, price, security, or data practices.
5. No Warranty
The reference is supplied "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Accuracy, completeness, currentness, uninterrupted service, and the performance of a linked portal are not promised. Confirm a record with its custodian.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of these pages or a linked resource, including a decision made from a record located through them.
7. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operators from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorney fees, that results from your misuse of the reference or breach of these terms.
8. Site Materials
The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. A link and a short attributed quotation are welcome. Republishing a full page or systematically copying the content is not permitted.
9. Revisions
The operators may revise these terms by posting a new version. Use after a revision means that the updated version applies.
10. Access Restrictions
Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms, abuses a linked service, or threatens the security of the reference. The operators may act without advance notice.
11. California Law
These terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Public-record descriptions refer to the California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 and following. Privacy references point to the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following. Those statutes govern the custodians and covered businesses to which they apply, not this private reference's ability to change a source record.
12. Severability
If a court finds one provision unenforceable, that provision is limited or removed to the required extent and the remaining terms continue in force.
13. Questions
